Community Hubs provide a meeting place for the
community to share and learn skills, meet new people and access services. They
are designed to connect and supports
families so that they can provide the best care for their children. However, No Community Hub is the same because the communities we work with are
unique!
There are 12 Community Hubs located in primary schools in Hume, the Roxburgh
Rise Community Hub is the youngest. Most community hubs will offer several
services that are selected to meet the local community needs. The Hub Coordinator works in partnership with the school and wider
community to support families.
The Hub provides adult education, service information,
early year developmental programs and social groups.

Playgroup
The playgroup children have been learning about cooking and
healthy food, and have been playing in our toy kitchen. They had the
opportunity to help cook biscuits and play-dough with their parents or carers.
Parents are reminded to bring a healthy snack to enjoy
during snack time.
Iftar Dinner Thank you to our lovely parent group and Mrs Figen Mustafa who shared their culture and celebrations with staff at Roxburgh Rise Primary School for the 3rd year running. The Iftar Dinner for staff is about the community teaching staff about Ramadan and sharing with them this touching experience of an Iftar dinner. This helps our teachers understand and relate to their students and their families.
